Bought a coat, described as new, for £50. Measurements were shown on advert for shoulder-to-shoulder, armpit-to-cuff, etc. but I have nobody to assist with such detail. Messages between us establised that he (seller) is 6'4" and 46" chest, while I am 6'1" and 43" chest. In 'conversation' he told me that 'it wasn't far off' fitting him.
With a 3" difference in height and a 3" difference in chest I thought it fair to assume it would be a 'comfortable fit. However, I can barely even get into it, and can certainly not do it up or wear it over a jacket (it's a formal covert coat).
I immediately contacted the seller and offered to pay p&p to return it but he won't agree to me doing so. eBay say I cannot open a Returns Case as it was listed with No Returns. I feel I was duped by the conversations, and feel I have been misled. We both hold 100% positive feedback ratings in the 700+ region, and I'm not looking to upset that balance.
Can the seller be advised by eBay to refund and receive the coat back? Clearly, size matters!
You should have Opened a Case for Item Not As Described. "Does Not Fit" is classed as a Change of Mind Return. Private Sellers do not have to Accept Change of Mind Returns. Only Business Sellers. Contact Ebay and see if you can now open a Not As Described Case. If they won't agree. Open a PayPal Case for Item Not As Described.
