Why when I pay with a debit card it takes ages for the payment to reach the seller?

Why when I pay with a debit card it takes ages for the payment to reach the seller?

It is already a week after my payment and still nothing.

  What is wrong and why is this happening?

  I should pay only with PayPal?

Guessing it is nothing to do with you or how you are paying

If the seller is on the ebay managed payments then they take the payment 

Once they have taken the fees the remainder is paid into the sellers bank account

It is not instant like paypal and can take several business days depending on how the seller

chose to receive their payments.

When you have paid then ebay should tell the seller payment has been made and the seller should send

your goods
