Why is ebay 'Rounding-up' the cost of items bought?

Does anyone know why ebay has started 'Rounding-up' the cost of items bought?

Twice now, I bought items that ended in 99 pence, yet when I get to checkout, it's rounded up to the nearest pound sterling!

Obviously, I'm not concerned about a penny, but that's not the point is it? Nobody else does this to their customers. Nor are they allowed too.

In fact, a seller will use the 99p rule, to make the price of their product seem cheaper, and here ebay steal that advantage from the seller, if we know that the items will in fact be rounded up! Not right, not good!

Does anyone know why, and can an ebay represetitive explain why? Because although a penny seems nothing, they rob 10,00 pounds for every million products they do this too; and we know they do this to many millions around the world!

That by anyones standards is grand theft!
