Why can't I unlink my payapal account?

When I try to unlink my paypal account it takes me back to the default my ebay page and it doesn't unlink my paypal account.  Is it because my paypal account has been permanently banned?  I thought Ebay was moving away from paypal?  Surely I should be able to unlink it.

Paypal permantely banned me and thousands of others for no reason whatsoever. I hate the company and will never use it again even if they unblocked me. I just want to unlink paypal through ebay and use the new method of payment, so I never have to deal with a crooked company like paypal again.
