I've recently been the only bidder on an item saying the chess set has jade carved pieces.
In the description the seller then says they are unsure if they are jade.
Now its arrived they are clearly not jade but some sort of resin.
Is this deliberately misleading to lure the buyer? Is it legal?
I'd appreciate your advice.
Thank you.
The item should be as described on the listing.
If the listing mentions Jade, and the item received is not Jade then the item is Not As Described. Complete a case in the Resolution Centre for a full refund.

If the listing title mentions Jade but it is not, then the listing also contravenes the eBay policy on search Manipulation:
