What does payment pending mean?

I have purchased an item it says payment pending?
The payment had gone through on my PayPal account and also on my bank account,so everything is ok on my side.
The seller it not responding to any of my messages.
What should I do?

If it shows as pending in Paypal on your accountr then it suggests a problem on the sellers side
