The unique code will be in the format ebay1234abc ('ebay' + 7 alphanumeric characters) and for the majority of customers, when you generate your Royal Mail address label, it will automatically be transferred from the address into the 2D barcode on your postage label. The unique eBay code will not be printed as part of the address on the postage label.

Hi Kudos - the site you sent me to states as above that "The unique eBay code will not be printed as part of the address on the postage label." However the numbers show on all my labels and I'm not too happy about advertising the fact that the package obviously contains an E-bay item - Ivor

Hi Permalink - the code exactly in the format you describet is printing on every label I print, on the second line - it shows as lower case on ebay labels on screen then prints in upper case!! Ivor
