VAT. HELP!

can anyone tell me where i am going wrong?

when i sell an item i click on print postage label and invoices,ebay creates an invoice for me which is great. I am VAT registered so i need to display VAT separately, i select that option but then the invoice is generated stating 0% vat. I have input my VAT number in to my business account details and also listed VAT on  all my listings as 20%. Why does the invoice not list 20% VAT?
