Use of Nectar vouchers

I've just purchased a couple of CDs with the express purpose of using Nectar vouchers but was not given the option to do so.Anyone have any ideas why not ? The only thing I can think of is that the seller is from over seas,but does that make any difference ?

You can earn Nectar points on non UK sellers,

but can't spend them there.
