Unsolicited goods

I received an item from a supplier which I had not ordered. There was no paperwork included and i only know where it came from via the name/address on the delivery label. I contacted the seller as I had another, paid for and ordered item. I suggested I return the item and he repay me by Paypal. Things are not going well. He thanks me for my honesty but wants to make his own arrangements for having a courier collect the item - and I have to stay at home to wait in for it. The sender of the item is presently in Dubai. I cannot guarantee to stay at home all day for his courier. Where do I go now, as e-bay does not appear to have a solution to this one.

How did the item arrive? WAs that by courier 

If you recieved the item instead of the one you ordered then you open a not as described dispute

Open a not as described dispute at the bottom of the page under Resolution Centre and escalate it after another 8 days

The seller needs to send a pre paid label for the return

If they dont then ebay should when you escalate the dispute

Make sure it goes back tracked and that the tracking is in the dispute

You have 30 days from the day of delivery to open a dispute in ebay
