Unable to complete the transaction, capital controls.

Hello and greetings from Thessaloniki Greece. 

I placed a bid and won a nice turntable with the code ***. Trying to complete the transaction I realised that my paypal account was not processing the purchase. I tried to do it using my visa credit card but with the same result. I contacted my bank and they me that certain transactions (and certain categories) have been blocked due to implementation of capital controls. 

I contacted the seller requesting to try and change the item category, in case I could complete the purchase, but the seller replied that could not. 

Now I am dealing with an open case and do not know to do. 

I am an excellent eBay buyer, always paying instantly and I do not want my profile to be spoiled.

The seller cannot change the category once an item has had bids placed or after a sale has been made.

I'm afraid that if an unpaid item case has been opened and you cannot pay then you will get a strike on yur account, which stays for a year; however, one strike won't affect your account in any way, and is not visible, so won't make you appear as a bad buyer.
