Suspect Returns

I am feeling very frustrated and wondering if any other ebay sellers have had similar experiences as I am relatively new to this?
I had taken the time to package up an item throughly with bubble wrap/boxed and "fragile" tape, which incidentally cost me more to post than the person paid - once they received it they asked for a refund as it was damaged!! The item certainly did not leave me like that and I can't help wonder if they just "changed their mind" and using the excuse of item not being as described??
I have sold a few items recently via eBay as I am moving and having to downsize, but these experiences are definitely putting me off as I feel the Seller is not particularly protected by ebay in this - despite it saying "no returns accepted" you are expected to refund as you will receive negative feedback from the Buyer if you don't!! Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and how they handled the situation - thank you in advance

Hi

Unfortunately this is all part of the "fun" when you sell on Ebay.

Basically you will end up refunding the Buyer (prob through a not as described case) and will then have to try and claim compensation from the carrier.

When private sellers put no returns.....this is only for change of mind purchases.      If an item is not as described then you will have to (or be forced) to refund.     Whatever a seller puts on a listing will not over rule a Buyers rights under Ebays Money back Guarantee.
