Hi Community,
I could do with your experience with this matter:
This buyer has bought an item, left negative inappropriate inaccurate feed-back, then opened a case with ebay and then now emailing me for a refund. I have said that as he has already left negative feed-back lets see what ebay rules on this matter. However, he continues to email me and I have again asked to leave this matter to ebay. His feed-back is slanderous and damaging and I now feel harassed by his emails.
He is claiming what he bought is fake, which it clearly isnt. He is claiming it is 'tacky' which is a matter of opinion and he is claiming that it is overprised but he chose to buy it?! If he didn't leave such stupid feed back and asked me first I would have condidered a refund, but as he doesn't like the item and these isn't anything else wrong with it he would have had to make his case. Instead, he left inaccurate feed-bac, then opened a case all without emailing me.
Should i stand my ground or just let it go?
Thanks for your input,
Ying
Also need to add that the item in question is a 1 oz Silver Btirannia coin and the buyer who claimes to be an 'expert' sent in a photo of him handeling the coin without cotton gloves.....the coin is now spoiled. Will ebay bother to do anything about an damaged return that is the buyers doing?
Ok, if the buyer has opened a case for not-as-described (fake and not in described condition) then eBay will back him - if you don't respond to the case and offer a full refund on return of the item then when he escalates the case to eBay they will force the full refund and not ask him to return the item to you.
Next, feedback. There is nothing in the comment that breaches eBay's feedback policy and if you contact customer support they will generally refuse to remove the comment and will suggest that you 'work with the buyer on this'.
There is absolutely no point in trying to force a sale and although you are entitled to 'stand your ground', you need to be aware that it can end badly for you.
