Just sold a new sealed keyboard for £235, to a newly registered buyer with a 100% feedback of 3. I checked out what he had bought previously, and he has bought a couple of things for a few quid, but he also bought the same keyboard second hand a few weeks ago. This has got me worried, is he a scammer? Will he claim the new item is faulty and send back the second hand item? What protection have I got if he does this? Thanks in advance for any advice.
None unfortunately. If he Opened an Item Not As Described Case and Returned an old Keyboard you can try Appealing to Ebay. But they are likely to take the Buyers side as they are covered by the Ebay Money back Guarantee. Has he Paid? You could Cancel the Sale but Ebay would charge you the Selling Fees and place a Defect on your Account.
