Shopping basket states 1 item

Opened my eBay to discover a item was in my basket which l had not put there although l have bought from this seller last week. Pressed remove item, which happened but my basket still states one item. 

I have reopened my basket and it states it is empty but the basket icon still says 1 item.

can anyone advise me how to get rid of the 1 next to my basket when there is nothing now in my basket.

Signing out then back into ebay should do the trick.
