Shipping/postage cost

Hi,

my friend charged £3.20 for shipping/postage for a dress. The actual cost of postage was £1.99.  Did she made a mistake to include in shipping price the packaging cost? Did she break any of Ebay rules?

Thank you in advance for any advices.

Sellers are entitled to charge the price of postage, plus a reasonable charge for the time and cost of packing. Plus they will need to add enough to cover eBay's fee of approximately 15% on the postage and packing charge. Your friends charge seems perfectly reasonable.

Has she had a complaint? There are still buyers who seem to think that sellers just buy a stamp and the item somehow packs itself, and with no fees added by eBay.
