Shipped something before payment

Hi Folks,

I've sold a toy on Sunday (for £72). I've shipped this before receiving the payment on the 14th of June. (The next day). Royal Mail tried to deliver this yesterday which was the 17th however they couldn't. I've sent a reminder to the buyer regarding the payment, but she just replied saying she didn't order this, and she didn't receive anything. Is there anything I can do? I feel like an idiot, I shouldn't have posted this before receiving the payment...

Just consider yourself lucky they didn't accept it and it will no doubt comeback to you. That is a lot of money to lose.

You will not get paid so after 4 days,  cancel the sale using reason "Buyer did not pay" and they will get an unpaid strike.  May seem hard on the "buyer" if they say they did not order, BUT someone ordered, and it has cost you money (the postage) and it is possible that it may not get back to you. I hope you put a return address on the package.
