Selling fees

I have recently sold items on eBay but when I look k at them the difference between the selling cost and what I got was nearly a 3rd less then i received another invoice from eBay for selling. After post and packing paid for I have received only one third of selling price and that does not include petrol to go to the post office. Is this usual

You'll pay for any applicable listings fees, plus eBay final value fees at 10% on both the item price and the postage price shown on your listing.

PayPal take 3.4% play 20p (3.9% if an international payment).

PayPal take their fee as soon as you receive your payment, eBay take theirs at a later date.

Go to your My eBay>Account to view a breakdown of your invoice.

Always best to check the fees on any selling platform you're going to use and work out if it's worth it or not.

Remember whatever platform you sell on...if you accept Paypal you will still be charged their fees & you will not get as many views so potentially less money for your goods
