Seller used fake stamps so I had to pay postage

I ordered an item and a card arrived from Royal Mail advising me to pay for the postage as the sender had used fake stamps. What should I do? I know I can probably ask the seller to refund the money but shouldn't it also be reported to eBay?

The best thing would have been not to pay the postage and then open a not received dispute

Now you have paid the postage then there is no way you can force the seller to repay it

Ask them to refund you

There is nothing ebay would do about it but if the stamps were fake then I am suprised that RM did not do anything as your seller was trying to defraud them.
