Seller sent second class after I paid for first as the listing and then posted two days after notify

i have e mailed seller but had no reply. How can I get the difference in postage back? This is such shoddy ebaying.

Hi, don't know how to reply so will put it here, sorry.

Technically it was one day late (according to expected delivery). However, I bought it on a Sat, was notified that it was posted on Monday but after receiving on Friday post date was Weds. Why press the despatched button when it clearly hadn't been. And if something had happened, why not tell me? And I have had no apology.

And no, mistakes are not shoddy practice. But charging excess, refusal to reply or apologise are. We all make mistakes. I have upgraded to first for buyers in the past when I have been prevented from quick despatch and let them know why.

Regarding paying for first and only sending second, she refuses to reply to the question. EBay told me to leave negative feedback and for that she left a comment saying I was a bad buyer! Anyway, ebay did remove that for me!

i have never had anything but positive feedback as a seller and buyer and this is the very first time I left negative. It's just a shame that policy allows dishonesty.

Caveat emptor! It's a shame as there are many more honest people on here than dishonest 😔

Hi.

OR maybe the seller made a genuine mistake especially if they had a lot of items to send all at the same time

OR maybe the person at the Post office made a mistake

i have in the past taken several items to the Post office,  all clearly marked by what postage method....came home...went to upload the tracking numbers etc and mark them all as despatched....and to my horror realised that one or two items had been sent by the incorrect method.

Was this too shoddy Ebaying?

Fortunately i contacted the Buyers who were very understanding and did not even want a refund of the difference when offered as they were happy with what they had paid.
