Seller sent me an empty envelop

Hi,

It's been a while since I've been scammed on ebay but today I recieved an empty letter envelope, when I was expecting a PS5 game.

I've submit refund request but not the not as described and wrong item options take me down a free returns process. Do I need to return the empty envelop to ensure I'm complying with the process?

Your item is not as described and that is the dispute you needed to open

You would receive a pre paid label for the return

If you have opened the wrong dispute then you have to stick with it as you can only open one dispute on ebay If you opened a return then you will have to pay the return postage yourself to send the empty envelope back

Once the seller receives it then they should refund within 2 full days

Hi, got the prepaid label for the return. I'll stick back in the post, seems a little ludicus in the situation but okay.

That is good. It does seem silly but that is the policy. It also depends on why you received an empty envelope. It is possible the item was inside when sent and if the seller has the envelope back then they can claim of RM or the courier.

Looks like they have done same to someone else too based on feedback.
Just noticed the user is "No longer a registered user". Does this mean they will not be able to refund me?

Wait until the item gets back to the seller then after 2 days escalate to ebay if you can through the dispute. If you cant then contact ebay at the top or bottom of the page under Seller helkp or Help and contact and they should just refund youhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/listings/creating-managing-listings/removed-listings?id=4656.
