Seller ripping me off on postage

I made an offer on an item inclusive of postage. Seller accepted my offer but is now demanding postage on top of the agreed price. What can I do? I cannot see anywhere to report this to ebay!

There's nothing to report.

When you make an offer it states that your offer is for the item price only.

Postage is whatever is stated on the listing.

If you wanted to make an offer inclusive of postage you should've deducted the postage cost from the offer you were going to make.

But seller accepted my offer inclusive of postage. I quite clearly stated that my offer included postage. He said yes. He was happy with my offer. Now he says he wants more.

offers can be accepted automatically the seller doesn't see any message that you add, that is why you aren't allowed to state the offer includes posting for free,

But you can't make an offer inclusive of postage. You are not allowed to.

You are told when making an offer an offer that it's for the item price only.

Again, if you want to make an offer inclusive of postage you should've deducted the postage cost from the offer you were going to make.

there is nothing to report,

it states quite clearly that postage isn't included when you make an offer, if the seller has a separate postage charge you pay that as well as the offer amount,

your offer should have taken the postage amount into consideration and been that much less.

When you make an offer the offer includes postage on top at the rate set by  the seller. You cannot make an offer including postage if the seller has listed the postage separately.

But this was an item that I was offered the chance to make an offer. My offer cleared said that the price I was offering included postage. He is now saying tough luck. He accepted the offer inclusive of postage but has changed his mind and now wants more than he was offered and accepted.

Look, this is what you see when you make your offer and then go onto the nest screen to submit it.

Your offer price is shown and the postage cost is shown.

That's what you're agreeing to pay the seller.

No. There is s space to make comments to the seller. I clearly stated in there that my offer included postage. Seller accepted my offer so he accepted the comments made in that offer.

He may or may not have read my comments, but that is not my fault.

He accepted my offer which clearly stated that postage was included.

you still don't get it, it doesn't matter what you wrote in the comments box, you offer was on top of the postage amount,

the auto accept means the seller doesn't get to see the comments until after the offer has been accepted, you should have reduced your offer until the total amount, offer + P&P was the amount you were willing to spend,


if you are not willing to pay you need to apologise to the seller, explain you didn't understand the system and ask them to cancel the transaction,


they don't have to agree and can complete a non payment case against you instead.

@mickledore0 You can't ask for inclusive postage in the comments box. That's for asking if it can be sent by a certain date etc.

The postage is clearly shown.
