I know that there iis a previous answer that the seller can just cancel a sale and refund money, however this is ****** surely ebay in an auction site as well as a selling site.
So firstly a sale
If I go into a shop and purchase an item at the price on the ticket and pay receiving a receipt for the ticket amountt, then I have legitimately bought the item, if the shop then decided that they did not like the price then what are they allowed to do ask for more money and refuse to give you the item? I dont think so.
Secondly you go to an auction house bid on an item and win go to the cashier and pay, then the seller comes up and says, he wants more money, let us assume that you agree and hand over a further sum, but he then decides that this is also not enough and says I will give you the money back, regardless of whether you want the item or not, if not then that is a different matter, but just throwing money at you and keeping the item would probably result in getting the police.
So my seller firstly said that the postage was not enough i agreed and eventually paid the extra, now they say that they want twice as much postage and will cancell the sale and refund the money.
Some auction site this is that allows sellers to act in this fashion, especially as as far as I am concerned i am the legitimate owner of the item, I wonder if this can be seen as theft.
