Seller cancelling bids

Is anyone else experiencing sellers cancelling a bid/s just hours prior to the end of the auction. I am getting a bit fed up with it now. Surely if a seller has a price in mind then they should put a reserve on it not remove it because it hasn't made what they wanted for it. This is happening way too often now. Surely there must be some ebay rule to stop this happening. !!

Sellers cannot end a listing once bids have placed if it's during the final 12 hours of the listung, they can only cancel bids.

This is a daft game to play, as bidders can place bids during the final few seconds, and will then win the item really cheap.
