Hi,
I've got an offer on an auction item, I did have a BUY IT NOW price but that has disappeared as the auction now has several bids.
The offer is to view the item and buy in person if they like it - as they will be travelling a long way they do not want to make the trip twice you see.
However I realise if I sell outside of eBay I can be penalised for this, so how can I sell something for cash outside of eBay but still pay the eBay fees??
Thanks,
Andy.

You can't. Anyway, whoever wins the auction won't have to travel twice. They will travel once, and either pay for it, or decide they don't want it. If not, you can cancel the sale for a refund of your selling fee.
Just explain this to whoever has made an offer. The buy-now option is automatically removed when any bid is placed. It's up to them to bid high enough to win.
Keep in mind that buyers don't have to pay in cash - indeed, you don't even ask for this in the listing. Also, you're a private seller so don't have to accept returns, unless the bike is not as described. Did you really intend to offer a 14 day return? This means the buyer can return it for any reason.
