SCAM

I made some order through eBay website, made the payment then I noticed just under the order total box, there is a pop up box with an envelope with a sign x 1 gift. I clicked the envelop then it leads to 4 questions then winner an iPhone 12 for a price of £1. It request card payment details (I paused) I read the small print, contacted www.whamclub.com through live chat. Whamclub live chat denied such a prize draw.

My reaction:

1) Whamclub company details was being used for this whole scam activity and they chose not to deal with it and let the scam act goes free to catch 'victim'

2) Your company 'eBay' should monitor the advertiser 'behaviour and act' who put their advert on your webpage that leads to this SCAM act

Should you do something about the above matter or should I spread the 'words out' on this matter through social media and to online Scam authority?

the 'pop up' box has nothing to do with ebay,

you need to use an 'ad blocker' to keep things like that off your screen

you can put the 'word out' that if you don't use ad blockers to protect yourself, all sorts of scams can pop up on your screen!
