Hi all i have a business account that i no longer sell from as the business has closed, i wanted to sell some of my used goods such as vintage HI-FI plus used vinyl records, dvds, CDs etc but it seems if you sell from a business account even if you are no longer trading you have to allow returns for whatever reason !! But can buyers just return say a record or CD because they don't like it or a piece of used HI-FI equipment they decide they shouldn't have bought (obviously this is different should the item be faulty)
i have asked eBay If i can down grade the account from business to personal to keep feedback but they don't seem to want to bother responding and a call to the help centre was we will come back to you, never happened.
thanks all.
If you sell second hand goods in your business account, then yes, you do have to offer that full returns policy. Items can be sent back for a full refund, buyer pays postage , for a change of mind reason.
eBay Customer Services rarely if ever, will switch a business account to a personal account, so it is easier to just open a brand new Private account if you wish to sell second hand goods, you are allowed to have both accounts.
Then, you can select a No Returns policy, which of course does not affect a buyer's rights for a full refund, if they open a case for item not as described.
