Bought an item plus an added amount for postage. Have received a 'Can't deliver' card from Royal Mail stating there is a fee to pay of £1.50 because the sender did not pay the full postage. I messaged the seller to inform them and they said "How annoying if postage was more than expected" ! Who is responsible for paying this extra postage please ?
Seller either made a mistake or a stamp fell off. If seller has proof of postage showing what was paid at the Post Office, he could take it up with Royal Mail.
Postage is simply enough to work out, sellers do not guess, they weigh and pay for the appropriate stamp based on value, weight and size. There is no EXPECTATION of cost.
You are not responsible and a decent seller would pay the amount to you by paypal. Once you pay there is no way to make the seller repay you.
If you don't want to pay it just open an Item Not Received Case with Ebay in the Resolution Centre one day after the last Estimated Delivery Date. Escalate the Case to Ebay after 4 days.
