Sold one item on eBay a projector and I'm being charged £42 ????? Took a loss on this over £100 & now I have an invoice from eBay for £42 !!! Scandoulus and a downright rip off will never sell on eBay again

Did you think Ebay do everything for free?
Didn't you think to find out what fees you would be charged before listing? Only yourself to blame.
You have 38 Feedback for selling, have you never noticed that you have paid 10% on all sales.
As an infrequent seller you should wait for the £1 Maximum FVF offers before listing expensive items .
Try a normal Auction House, they would only charge about 20% + VAT,, plus a lotting Fee, and the buyer pays 20% as well.
