I am a private seller stating "No returns accepted" on listing. What is the position when a buyer asks to return, even though item as described? This has now happened to me twice in a week.
If you are the buyer, take a good look at the seller's listings, current and previous. If the seller appears to be an unregistered business selling multiples of new goods then go to the Citizens Advice website and review your rights as a consumer. Whilst eBay will not intervene if a 'private' seller refuses a return for change of mind, an unregistered business seller would be in very hot water if the buyer decided to take action. A business seller can be either a limited company or a sole trader.
Accepting a change-of-mind return will generally be the best thing to do, buyer pays the return costs.
