I recently purchased some curtain tiebacks. I ordered two. I receied two PAIRS. I decided to return one pair and went through the process of obtaing a returns label etc. without any problem. I then realised that the colour was wrong and tried to add the second pair to the return. The system didn't allow me to alter the quantity. I contacted customer services and after a convoluted conversation with an agent who was not able to understand anything. she finally informed me that eBay could only change the quantity on Saturdays when the system permits this. Therefore I should phone on Saturday. In the meantime I returned both pairs and informed the seller what I had done and duly posted the two pairs back to the seller. I phoned on Saturday and spoke to anothe agent who was equally confused and after a very lengthy conversation she finally understood but was
unable to do anything. She did say that she would email the agent with whom I had first spoken to tell her to sort this out.
In have just received an email from the seller telling me that eBay have, so far, done NOTHING.
I have no refund. I have paid the return postage. He will pay an extra fee to eBay in spite of having received both pairs.
Has anyone any idea how to get eBay to HELP ME ? ? ? ?
Did you send the tie backs back using tracked means? And did you open a returns case? If the answer is yes to both, add the tracking number to the case.
When the seller receives them you should be refunded.
You have complicated the issue when you decided the colour wasn't right because this is a "Change of mind" return yet you have sent it back with a Snad return,.
The more I hear about ebay CS the more I think they are unfit for purpose. I have no idea what they mean by
"eBay could only change the quantity on Saturdays when the system permits this"
That's crazy!
