Hi I have just purchased a pair of shoes from eBay. I can't get my feet into them so I have contacted the seller. The seller will refund me but I have to cover the return postal costs? Why is this the case, and why should I be out of pocket if the item is inadequate? Can you advise me please?

It all depends on whether the seller sent you the wrong size or if your feet simply don't fit into them.
If the seller sent a different size to that on the listing then they should pay for the return. If your feet won't fit into them, but they are the size ordered, then that isn't the sellers fault.
I have shoes which range from a size 3 to a size 5, even within the same brand.
You also get the confusion between US & UK sizes. Are you sure you ordered the correct size?
