Hi I have just purchased a pair of shoes from eBay. I can't get my feet into them so I have contacted the seller. The seller will refund me but I have to cover the return postal costs? Why is this the case, and why should I be out of pocket if the item is inadequate? Can you advise me please?
Lynn
The shoes would only be not as described if they were listed as one size, and labelled as another.
Sellers do not have to pay return postage for shoes that just don't fit.
If the shoes are a style that is very pointy, your usual shoe size will not fit and you may need a size up (that's what I find, anyway).
It would be unfair to expect the seller to be out of pocket, let alone give them a defect for it.
