Return after case was stupidly closed by me…

I bought a camera and lens and whilst the camera was fine, the lens didn't seem to be working as it should. It seemed to be working sort of (a stiff zoom ring).

I opened a case for return and the seller offered a part refund or replacement. I stupidly decided in the end that I would just live with it as it was. and cancelled the case.

now that I've had time to try to use it properly, I really can't live with it.  A camera service centre have also said that it is uneconomical to repair and declared it as faulty.

Stupid me closing the case I know, but surely there should be some route of protection for instances like this?  Buyer has not responded to my messages.

There is no reason for the seller to "communicate".  It's all done through a case.   You get just one case with eBay.

You probably can still open a case through Paypal.

Register for postage https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns

Go to your payment and open a "not as described" case from there.  Escalate after  2 days and before 20 days
