Hello, I have an Indigo Moon Jacket for sale and a buyer bid on it yesterday at 4.24pm. It was retracted at 5.30pm - reason given she could not get in touch with me. I do not give out my telephone number and so the option to contact me is Contact Seller and I have never had problems with other buyers/sellers contacting me through this means. Presumably the person who bid on my item did not contact eBay to see whether they could help in the contact. After only an hour they retracted the bid. I imagine they had had a change of mind. However, this is not one of the legitimate reasons to be able to retract. I had not altered this listing to change it significantly and there was still time left on the clock as the listing does not end until Sunday evening. It rankles with me that this is allowed. Surely if someone cannot contact a seller they should try and see whether eBay can offer assistance. Is there any point in my contacting eBay to complain about this issue? There have been a rare time when I have changed my mind about something but I have not pulled out, hoping that someone may bid more than me to save my bacon. If this person had contacted me I would have said yes she could cancel but doing it this way goes against the grain for me.
Any advice would be welcome. Or do you think I should let it go.
