Reporting a seller

Hi is it possible to report a seller who has blatantly lied about an item they sold me.

If the item you have received doesn't match the description, you don't report the seller - you use eBay's money back guarantee through the resolution centre: https://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

To qualify, you must have paid through eBay's checkout by credit or debit card, PayPal or PayPal credit, or Apple Pay or Google Pay. A case must be opened within 30 days after the actual (or latest estimated) delivery date, or within the seller's return window, if longer. The item must also have been delivered, or collected by you in person.

The seller is allowed 3 business days in which to respond. After that, the option will appear for you to escalate the case, if necessary, for eBay to step in and help. This option remains available for 21 days from the date the case was opened.

EBay will enable the seller to send you a prepaid return label (if the item location was stated to be in the UK). Once returned, eBay will process your refund.

If the seller doesn't reply or you're not happy with their response, escalate the case. Follow any instructions and time limits carefully, and don't agree to close the case until you have received your refund.

Ah thanks for that, I've asked the seller for a full refund because she said she had proof of posting which she didn't because she just stuck the item in the post box with a used stamp I've had to pay a further £2 to get the item which is a lip gloss I won for 99p, the lip gloss isn't sealed so I don't know if she's used it which I think is disgusting in this pandemic and it's definitely not the colour in the picture or as described. She doesn't answer messages, so my only option is to leave negative feedback. I've ended up paying over £6 postal charges for a 99p lipgloss not even the size of a standard pen. I'm totally disgusted never in all my buying times have I come across such an awful seller. But thanks for the advice.

Your only option is to open the dispute as stated by both responders if you are in time. Your item is not as described. You dont deal with the seller you open the dispute and follow it through to get your money back. You wont get the £2 back but get all the original payment back. You should not have paid that but left the item at the post office. You could have opened a not received dispute. Feedback is the last thing you do.
