I have recently bought a car in which the seller says he will knock me £50 off for a broken pipe. The broken £50 pipe turns out to be a water pump at a cost of £700

the seller is not willing to help where do I stand?

There is no money back guarantee on motors 

If they are a business then you may have some rights under UK law

Contact Citizens advice for their help

Otherwise there is nothing you can do

When you buy a motor it is up to you to check it over before buying and paying
