how to block an abusive message - seller

Hi

I want to block an abusive message sender.

Tried the option where you block buyers, but it would not accept the username, although it is correct.

I have reported him to ebay, although they don't give the outcome, which doesn't mean much really.

This is a selller who opened a case against me for not returning an item, although he had signed for it.

Any advice welcome please.

A seller cannot "open a case for not returning an item".  You open a case and input the tracking [or it is automatic]. When it is delivered the seller/eBay will refund. 

Sadly as you have been in a transaction you cannot block messages

I was given a case number by eBay, and was told that a case had been opened against me.

Its the term ebay uses when the seller uses the 'report' a buyer' function. It's not really a case as we understand it.

Why would you report a buyer? Sounds the same thing.
He has now left feedback calling me " a lier and farud", his spelling.
Can I request eBay to remove this?
It is sent as positive feedback. I have resisted the temptation to reply as yet.

Seller's use it to report instances where they think, or want eBay to think, that a buyer is abusing the money back guarantee.

EBay will remove that feedback and give the seller a black mark.

Thanks - that makes sense. There was a thirty day no quibble return policy, so no abuse.
Will ask eBay to remove it, especially as I removed his negative feedback. What a saga!
