Pushy demanding seller

Hi,

I bid on two dresses and won bids.
Seller immediately contacted me regarding combining the shipping fees for both, saving me a couple of pounds - so far, so good!
Then contacted me soon after demanding I pay asap so she can post it to me immediately!!

It is Sunday, no post office would be open and I'm in the middle of cooking for my children.
I found this to be rude and unnesessary, and felt treated like it was assumed I've done something wrong (I haven't)

To be honest, I feel harassed and don't want to buy these dresses from her any more.
I always pay within 24 hrs and sellers NEVER repeatedly contacted me with demands before!

Am I allowed to cancel my purchase? Or will I be banned from Ebay?
I've never cancelled before

You have a good seller if they are combining the postage without you asking

Most areas now have Post office counters in shops that are open from early hours in the morning until late at night.

OUrs is in our local one stop shop and when the shop is open so is the PO counter. That is seven days a week.

I posted items on Sunday.

You have managed to come on here to complain about the seller so why could you not just have paid.

It would have taken less time than your post

The seller probably wants to post it today if they can. Possibly they have other items or work weekdays

They should not be harrassing but at least they are working hard to give a good service.

Actually, the seller contacted me 7 times in 12 hrs!! And the last one stared if I didnt pay kmmediately, she'd cancel the sale and relist items.
I write back to agree to cancellation (she's a registered business seller and offers refunds, so she couldn't really disagree to a sale cancelation LOL)
Backfired on her big time!
As a buyer, I'm not just buying things. I'm paying for a good service. It's not like she was selling rare contraband that my life depended on LOL

Dresses were average and not that cheap, for second hand stuff.
And impulse buy followed by forced harassment that I managed to avert.

She should not be threatening but you could have just paid straight away or was it that you had changed your mind anyway.

I don't think it backfired on her I would think she was relieved for you to agree to cancel and put to you on her Blocked bidders list. How much did you pay for a good service?. As a seller I have never had any payment for a good service although I give one every time.

You were getting a good service. A seller who combined postage without being asked and trying to post immediatley.
A little bit too enthusiastic but better that way than slow.

I'm a newbie to Ebay and got too excited. All my other bids got outbid so I bid on these half heartedly as consolation and fully expected to be outbid on them, too and be in the clear.

But I got stuck with things I didn't want (in wrong sizes. My bad, I know)
But I would have fully paid up and learnt my lesson (and gave it to charity later)
It's the psycho behaviour of the seller immediately after bids ended and for the next 12 hrs that really stressed me out.

As a newbie you really need to make sure you only bid on items you really want and to check they are the correct size before bidding
It is no excuse half heartedly bidding because you had lost other items and wrecking sellers listings whether they are a business or not.
The majority of buyers pay immediately.

Seems very odd that a business should go to such extremes and it is not normal but we can not see what passed between you in contact
Did you reply to any of the emails or just ignore them.
Sounds as if you did not want them anyway and were not going to pay at all.

I couldn't agree more with you.
My bad bidding on something I wasn't sure about.
But like I said, I was prepared to bite the bullet and pay, of not for the first couple of demands, then more, then another one and another....

So as luck would have it, the sellers unprofessionalism created an excuse to get out of unwanted sale.
Yes, next time I WILL know better, you're right.
I didn't take it personally.
Some people are just a$$holes full stop! and you've got to avoid them.
