Paypal pending payment

I recently bought an item through Paypal. The money has come out of my Paypal/bank account, but the payment hasn't gone through to the seller. It says the payment is pending. I have contacted the seller and they said they haven't received payment so, of course, they haven't sent my order out yet. We've arranged to do a bank transfer, but that will mean I'll have paid for the item twice. Is there anything I can do about the first payment that didn't go through?

Don't pay by Bank Transfer you will loose your Buyer Protection. The problem is with the Sellers Account not yours. If you don't Receive your Purchase just open an EBay Item Not Received Case in the Resolution Centre one day after the last Estimated Delivery Date for a Full Refund.

I don't think I'll receive my item since the seller hasn't received my payment. In your original message, I think you said to cancel my paypal payment which I'm able to do. It said that the payment wasn't processed because the seller doesn't have a paypal account or something. I wasn't able to cancel my payment but I'll try again later. So I guess I'll need to find another way to pay. I just don't know how to do it if I can't use a bank transfer
