If you have received an email from paypal confirming the buyer has paid and you can post the item then you need to post the item.
The hold on the buyer's payment is a blanket policy applied to all new and adhoc sellers.
If you posted the item using tracked postage then add the tracking number to the buyer's payment and the money will be released 3 days after the estimated delivery date. If you used standard postage then you will have to wait 21 days for the money to be released.
