No coin in package

Hi all

Right I bought a coin off a seller last week yea the envelope turned up but with no coin in it had fallen out , am I entitled to a refund or no?

Hi thanx for your comments, I thought I was entitled to a refund but wanted to make sure first , I have opened a case for this and the sellers response was "no you ain't having a refund because I sent it out to you and it's not my fault that it has escaped from envelope". Well I thought what a lovely message like . So gunna wait for e day now to step in and see what they think .

I would guess too that coins should be sent "Special Delivery" by Royal Mail.  So the seller will not get a refund from them. 

As advised by @tressygirl  you have opened a case.  Do not have any dealings with the seller. 

You did - I hope - open a "not as described" case?   You must not have opened a "non receipt" case as if the seller can show delivery [of an empty envelope even] by tracking you will not get a refund. 

"Not as described"  - ordered a coin and envelope but got just an envelope!

No as I sent both items as I said I would with a first class stamp all sealed and you received the letter so it's not my fault if someone's took it out at the sorting office talk to ebay about it thanks

Again ignore that someone took it quote, had it been properly disguised say between two pieces of card it would prevent the item being ' seen' as a coin.

No matter what happened. item was not received by you, you are due a full refund which you will get under eBay's 30 day MBG, and I doubt that the seller here has taken out adequate extra insurance cover, therefore he will not be able to claim any compensation from Royal mail.

Was it an expensive coin?

It is the sellers fault you did not get your coin
It is up to the seller to get the item safely to the buyer
That did not happen
Your item is not as described
When they send the pre paid label you return the empty envelope as you received it

Hi guys it was the Bond alphabet 10p coin plus I'm waiting on the letter Z that he said he sent out so we will wait n see if this one will turn up tomorrow some time if not another case will be open on that .
