Never call customer service

I called eBay customer service today...(took me an hour just to find out how)!

And I complained about a buyer, who claimed that the 'Perfect' item that I posted

to them was missing a part? REALLY?

I always photograph my items as are... then as soon as that/those many photo's are taken for eBay

buyers to see, I wrap them in Cling film (because they are tins) and then in a bubble wrapped envelope.

How can a buyer then tell me that the top of the one item has snapped off or is missing?

Well, this is the buyer, maybe if they un-wrapped it properly then they would not have snapped it!

What was my response from eBay cusomer service?

A Indian woman, I could hardly understand her words, cheap labour in India...eBay qaulity!

She shouted at me... even though I was trying to prove my point as a innocent and honest seller that the last person I sold to had no reason to complain (which they did, for a freebie)!

eBay has lost all credibility in my view now!

No Paypal.

**bleep**tiest of the **bleep**, customer service.

Extroardinary crazy fee's ....not once, twice....but three times fees sometimes.

I am considering opening a new platform for second hand buying and selling., I have the money, I just need the HOW TO.

We don't need to rely on greedy BIG TECH

Show your strentgh and angst...make eBay re-consider their Paypal reform policy.

Show your strentgh as a seller, NO PAYPAL NO eBAY

Ebay never see what you send or the buyer receives. You are just wasting your time arguing with CS, and accept that there are risks selling on ANY SITE.

As far as fees are concerned, either you have no idea how they work, but fees now are better than when I joined in 2002. Then you paid a listing fee on EVERY item whether it sold or not, and still paid a fee if it sold. Can't remember the fees but allowing for 20 years were very little different to now, and no 1000 Free Listings. Then it would have cost at least £150.

"not once, twice....but three times fees sometimes."  What ever does this mean, fees are only charged when you use a service.

was it the teletubbies tin?

if so, I can see the top being broken off in transit if you didn't use a box

when a buyer opens a not as described case there is nothing you can do, phoning ebay won't change the out come

you have to accept the return and refund in full once the item is returned

There was no point in complaining to customer support. Their staff and have no say in eBay's policies.

EBay's money back guarantee policy is that unless they are able to determine that an item matched the description they will find in the buyer's favour. As eBay never even sees the item concerned, and doesn't accept the seller's word for its condition, it's almost a foregone conclusion that the seller will be required to refund the buyer. If they want their item back they need to send the buyer a prepaid return label.

The best that sellers can hope for is to get their item back in the condition sold. If it isn't, don't count on eBay taking your word for this either.

EBay is a very risky place to sell things. Sellers have to accept that every sale is a gamble whether the buyer will use or abuse eBay's money back guarantee.

As a follow on to your previous question,

ebay sold paypal several years ago, so they are not going to use them again.
