Misleading sales information.

Far too many adverts on eBay by apparently UK based & Stocked, most as a "front" for Chinese businesses. For my GrandsonsI Birthday, I purchased  a Set of Childrens Cycle safety  Helmet etc.,etc. from a Company stating UK business and Stoxk and with a "Union Jack" flag in the corner of the ad. After a few days I got a refund fro a Chinese Company. saying delivery will be too long. As my Grandsons bithday wa looming, I selected another Set  of safety gear, which was almost the same and about the same price. This Company was apparently based in Inverness, Scotland UK. Hallelujah! The address of my Grandson , whom the present was for was...Inverness. ! Double celebration. I thought "quick "delivery".    . No.! I know, even now, and before it arrives, its going to be sent direct  from China, thats if it arrives at all. This type of Advertising and Selling shoujld be banned or "cleaned uo" becaus it is VERY MISLEADING. There may be many rfeasons why ppl dont want to buy articles from China, not least the present C Virus disaster, and it should be made VERY CLEAR" where the purchased Item is being sent from. Im very angry at this whole situation re.UK Buying on EBay.

The Seller you have left Negative Feedback for, is Registered in China see his Feedback Page.

But the actual Item Location under Postage is UK. So at this point you know he is a Chinese Seller and he has a UK Warehouse or Fulfilment Centre. This is perfectly Legal.

But he lets himself down on the Estimated Delivery Date which is 2 weeks later. So at this point you know he is Misrepresenting the Item Location and can be Reported to Ebay.

Anything Posted from a UK Warehouse would only have a few days Estimated Delivery.

Hope this helps.

the search criteria is for ITEM location

sellers who have a UK distribution point can state UK as the item location as the item is sent there first and then to the buyer

if you wish to avoid buying from these sellers you need to check the seller location before you buy,

to see the seller location go to their feedback profile page by clicking on the number in breackets next to their ID,

you should be looking at a sellers feedback profile before you buy anything, as that is what feedback is for, to be read before purchase so that you can decide whether you want to buy from that person.

if an item location is stated as UK and the item is sent directly to you, without going to the UK distribution point, you can report the seller for item location misrepresentation:-
