So today after waiting 5 days for ebay to give me some clarification of why there is a hold on my account I spent over 40 mins with a 'team leader' from ebay on the phone who basically could not answer any questions.
I have 100% feedback on nearly 600 items but they have no idea why its blocked. The guy basically told me that a computer makes the decision, and the team that review the decision do not have phones? EBAY is descending into absolute clown world.
I'm sorry but I'll just say it as I see it, this is a massive con, a way for ebay to hold funds and make money on them whilst sellers once again get screwed over. They can't even explain why they do this. Total and utter cowboys.
eBay do not hold the money, they have no facility to, they are a selling platform.
The main delay lies with your bank.
eBay take 1 - 2 business working days to take their fees and your bank then takes 1 - 4 business working days to process those funds.
Being a weekend it will delay the process further.
I'm no banner waver for Managed Payments, preferred Paypal, but it's here to stay, and I found once eBay told me the money was sent to my bank, it was there in less than 24 hours.
So seems some banks work more efficiently than others.
