Lost parcel

Hi, I have an issue with a lost parcel. The buyer’s address was an Argos collection point with an eCP reference number. I posted the parcel 2nd class. I have a certificate of posting with a tracking number and the address details on the certificate are shown as Argos and the Colchester postcode. Royal Mail confirm the parcel was delivered on 16/12 but the buyer says Argos aren’t showing it as having been received. Am I liable to refund the buyer?

Make sure the tracking is on the item in your sold section

if it shows Delivered then you should win any dispute

The buyer needs to contact ebay and tell them about it

It is ebay that sends the code for collection and they should sort it out.

There is nothing need to do

If they open a not received dispute then just make sure the tracking confirming Delivered is on the dispute

When you use eBay's click and collect scheme, you must be able to provide a postal tracking number that confirms delivery to the store the customer selected. If your tracking number shows this, eBay will find in your favour if the buyer clams that the item was not delivered.

EBay's money back guarantee is concerned with delivery, not receipt by the buyer. This applies to both home deliveries and click and collect orders. Once an item has been delivered, the seller is not liable for what happens to it afterwards.
