Lost in post

Hi, it's now been 11 days since my item was posted and unfortunately I still haven't received it.  I have contacted the seller who has emailed me a fuzzy image of the post office proof of postage.  I understand that I need to wait for 15? Days but what is the process then?.  Do I ask the seller for a refund (paid by PayPal) and she sorts out the claim from royal mail?.  I ask because I have seen on some listings that if this happens the seller will send the proof to the buyer to try and claim from royal mail.  I thought the contract was with the person who sent the goods with royal mail.  Apologies if this is confusing but I would really like a straight answer as to who should do what.  I am really hoping that the item turns up but I also know what royal mail are like!  Many thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello...

Unless a seller can prove by tracked means  that the  item has actually been delivered to the Buyer then the Seller has to refund.

The seller then uses their proof of postage to make a claim for compensation from Royal Mail.  It is not up to the Buyer to make any claim.

The seller should NOT make a Buyer wait for a refund pending the outcome of their claim for compensation.

If it is at least a day or so past the estimated delivery date and the Seller is being a little difficult....
