Libellous negative feedback

Hi,

I have received libellous, negative feedback for an item that had a successful bid price of £0.99! (as yet unpaid).

The item was for collection only, and the feedback basically states that I am a 'fake', do not live at the address advised for collection, and am never to be trusted. The allegations are totally without foundation and are libellous.  I provided my full address and contact telephone number to the bidder. Prior to this, my rating was '100%'.

I have contacted the bidder and requested removal of the feedback but this has been ignored. I am unable to post a comment relating to the feedback or submit a formal feedback revision form, presumely due to a systems' bug.

I insist that Ebay remove these libellous allegations; what course of action can I take?

Thanks...

If the comment is libellous then you can have it removed.

You need to download a defamation form , fill it in and return it . At one time you had to fax it back ...not sure if you can scan it over now .

However it is a legal declaration so you do need to be absolutely sure that the detail of the feedback is defamatory ....

Although this will remove the comment the red dot will stay.

It might be better to open an UID first as if buyer does not pay then the feedback would be removable .....but for 99p the buyer might pay up anyway to avoid the strike ...then you would need to refund ....
