Hi, can anyone tell me what happens when you find out an item is damaged after you've collected it? I bought a printer this morning and collected it myself. It turns out the ink cover is broken (and a component inside the cover has popped out with its wire), but I could not have discovered this until after I got home and set it up.
Is eBay more likely to let me return the item for a refund, or is it more complicated? After all it would be a case of his word against mine?
Collection items are considered to have been inspected and checked before you pay in cash. Read the relevant parts of the money back guarantee above.
You can Open an Item Not As Described Case in the Resolution Centre if you Paid through PayPal. Escalate the Case for EBay to Step in after 4 days if the Seller hasn't Accepted the Return.
Did you Pay the Seller by Debit Card? Or did you use your Debit Card to Pay through PayPal?
