No, they should make a claim with you & you can make a claim with Royal Mail.
Its the sellers responsibility to ensure the item is delivered safely.
It is up to you to make the claim.
The buyer opens a dispute and once you have your item back then you refund the buyer in full through the resolution centre.
You either send a label for the return of the item or ask them for photos and for them to hold onto it until RM have sorted it out
You will need photos if you dont want it back.
You then claim off RM which you can do online
You will need to send photos of the damage
RM will only deal with the person that sent the item
You are the one one who claims on RM, you employed them not the buyer. Whether you get a refund from them or not you areresponsible for getting item to buyer in good condition and must refund.
